Guidelines
Rules and regulations
Attendance
- Please ensure your ward comes to school punctually and neatly dressed in the prescribed uniform.
- Children should attend school regularly. For any absence, send a leave application signed by a parent — in advance, or on the day the child returns.
- Seven working days of continuous absence may lead to the student's name being removed from the rolls.
- No child may leave the premises before school ends without written permission. During school hours students may leave only with their parents, on showing the parent's card.
- Anyone else collecting a child must carry an authority letter.
Communication
- Fill in the student profile form and the almanac correctly and promptly.
- Children must bring the almanac to school every day. Parents should check it daily and acknowledge any note.
- All communication should be addressed to the Headmistress.
- Inform the school office immediately of any change of address or phone number.
- Keep a record of the worksheets and circulars issued by the school.
- Please respond promptly to reports, parent–teacher meetings and other information sent home.
Fees
- Depositing the fee on time is the parent's responsibility — the school does not send reminders.
- School transport is optional, provided on request. Pick-up and drop are from nodal points only.
- Please preserve fee receipts for the whole session, or until you receive a no-dues slip from the Admin Block.
Belongings and conduct
- Children should not bring money or expensive items such as wristwatches, iPods, calculators or video games.
- If your child takes home school property or another student's book by mistake, please send it back the next day.
- Please don't offer gifts, presents or money to any school employee.
Health and hygiene
- Train your child in personal hygiene — regular haircuts, trimmed nails, neat and tidy.
- Don't send sick children to school. Keep them home until fully recovered from: chicken pox (until the scabs have fallen off completely), cholera and whooping cough (until fully cured), measles (two weeks after the rash disappears), mumps (until the swelling has fully subsided).
Meeting teachers
- Please don't visit your child's classes. To meet a teacher, fix an appointment first; the best time is a parent–teacher meeting or recess, and in an emergency only after class time.
- Parents are welcome to approach the Principal with opinions and suggestions during visiting hours.
A few tips for parents
- Encourage a reading habit in your child.
- Praise your child — children treated with love and care grow up happy and confident.
- Let your child set a schedule for home study, play and meals; it builds consistency.
- Give time at home to preparing lessons and completing assignments, and keep a constant watch on progress.
Uniform
Uniform rules
The correct uniform generates a sense of belonging and promotes discipline. It can be bought from any vendor, but the colours must comply strictly.
- Wear the uniform with pride, neat and presentable at all times. The I-card is part of the uniform.
- Uniform is required every day, including practical and special classes, and for school functions in or outside school.
- Girls must wear cycling shorts under their skirts; skirts must be 2″ below the knee.
- Boys wear shirts and trousers as per the prescribed uniform design.
- Long or painted nails, coloured, gelled or spiky hair, jewellery, coloured contact lenses, henna and cosmetics are not allowed.
- Students who don't follow the uniform rules will be sent home.
